Same idea as the men's Nautilus 3-In-1 in a women's fit: a polyester pongee shell zips apart from its polyester fleece liner, so recipients can wear the shell alone, the fleece alone, or both together as conditions change. The hood stows away when it's not needed, a full-length storm flap blocks wind at the zipper, and reflective trim on the back keeps it visible in low light.
